Coscharis Revalidates Contract with Sixt Car Rental

Coscharis Group, prime merchandising concern and renowned motor dealership has revalidated her franchise with German car leasing giant Sixt Rent a Car four years after the later divested her interest from Nigeria.
The revalidation of the contract is coming amidst contention over the practicability of car rental business in Nigeria, particularly now that local competitions struggle to keep their businesses afloat.
Sixt Rent a Car made her first impression in Nigeria in 2008 through the duo of Virtual Travel Network and Management Service Limited and Coscharis Group when both firms got the nod to represent the German car rental concern in Nigeria.

Sixt, in 2009, pulled out of Nigeria following unpleasant business experiences and low patronage but Coscharis, the new franchisee has promised to put the Sixt back on path of profitability.
Mr. Cosmas Maduka, President, Coscharis Group who said this much at a revalidation press meet in Lagos said the objective of the new partnership was to make Coscharis the leading provider of mobility service and rental cars in the expanding markets of Nigeria and West Africa.
He said: “As a vertically integrated automobile services group, with services spanning premium car distribution, auto-component sales, emerging interests in auto-assembly among others, Coscharis Group seeks to broaden the spectrum and deepen the value derived by the buying public from auto products.”
Mr. Maduka also said the Sixt - Coscharis partnership was informed by inherent synergies of Coscharis Motors cum Sixt Nigeria, importers of BMW vehicles with the German heritage of Sixt AG, the preeminent car rental and mobility solutions provider in Germany and Austria.
Founded in Munich, Germany, Sixt rent a car is the oldest car rental company in Europe and the world.
Sixt Nigeria however appears set to deliver the best value for money as part of loyalty rewards, through competitive rental pricing structure, citing air miles and hotel points enjoyed by corporate and individual.
Also speaking at the launch, Mr. Josiah Samuel, Group Managing Director, Coscharis said Coscharis Group will make make Sixt Rent a Car the number one car rental company in Nigeria with a touch of difference in a few years to come.

“Sixt Nigeria will not only provide service to its clients but will also see to the growth of the clients’ business and working as their partners. And as Sixt Nigeria drives through this road to success, we will anchor our strength on the unbeatable support and friendships of Sixt headquarter staff,” Mr. Samuel remarked.
Meanwhile, Mr. Christian Chigbundu, Chief Operating Officer, Coscharis Mobility Limited has said ‘Coscharis Group is renowned for its many years of experience and excellence in service delivery – criteria that would make Sixt Nigeria the number one car rental company.
In his response, Mr. Detlef Krehahn, Head of Franchise at Sixt GmBH, Germany, said, “We are pleased to have acquired such an experienced franchise partner in Nigeria. Business travellers in particular will profit from the company’s high standards of quality and service as they increasingly visit this country, which has strong potential for economic growth.”
